Borinquen Community FCU and the Community

Relay for Life

Relay for Life events comprise the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.  Communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

The teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path at a local high school, park or fairground.  Events are up to 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times.

As in prior years, Borinquen Community FCU, was part of the Aguadilla event. It took place on April 5th, 2014 at the former Ramey Base Running Track. Borinquen Community FCU employees chose the 80's Disco Party theme to dress up.  Some employees walked and some others stayed at the tent to take care of every person interested in knowing more about BCFCU products and services.  The event started at 5:30 PM and ended at 2:00 AM.

Like Borinquen Community FCU, there were schools, agencies, and people from the community sponsoring the event.
